With over five years of experience working in the school and special education system, Laura has developed a profound understanding and ability to connect with children and families. Her various roles have fostered a wide range of skills and knowledge, giving her a talent for creating meaningful connections as well as an ability to understand the unique needs of every child.
Additionally, Laura has gained valuable experience working over a year and a half at an intensive outpatient eating disorder clinic. She had the opportunity to work closely with individuals struggling with eating disorders, providing them with compassionate support
and evidence-based interventions. Through this work, Laura deepened her understanding of the complexities of eating disorders as well as the importance of involving family members and other loved ones throughout treatment. Laura’s experiences in a variety of settings have contributed to her knowledge and skills, which she continues to expand and refine. Laura's commitment to ongoing learning allows her to provide her clients with the most effective and comprehensive care.
In addition to her past experiences and ongoing professional development, Laura also brings a wealth of personal qualities to her work. She is a warm, empathetic, and genuine individual who creates a safe and supportive environment for her clients. Laura's ability to connect with her clients on a deep level, combined with her clinical expertise, allows her to help clients and families navigate challenges and achieve their goals.
Laura is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP), and has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bellevue University. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
