Laura Fisher
Clinical Intern
Laura is a graduate-level counseling intern. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bellevue University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Laura has over five years of experience in working with children in the education system in a variety of roles, including a special education and resource paraprofessional. Laura also has over six months of experience working as a counseling intern at Omni’s Eating Disorder clinic.
Laura is passionate about supporting and helping children with a variety of diverse needs. She strongly believes that all children are unique and complex individuals, and should be treated as such. Laura’s goal is to create a safe space for clients where they feel comfortable and encouraged to express themselves, learn new skills, and process their emotions.
Laura is in the process of completing additional training to serve individuals with: Developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, eating disorders, impulse control, anger, depression, and anxiety
