With over five years of experience working in the school and special education system, Laura deepened her understanding and became passionate about supporting the unique needs of children and their families. She strengthened her skills and knowledge in the area and developed a talent for creating meaningful and impactful connections.
Additionally, Laura has gained valuable experience working two years at an intensive outpatient eating disorder clinic. She had the opportunity to work closely with individuals struggling with eating disorders, providing them with compassionate support and evidence-based interventions. Through her work in these various roles, Laura has established a warm, genuine, integrative, and collaborative approach with her clients. She values incorporating a variety of techniques to support the complex needs of each individual, including creative arts, sand tray, and play therapy. Laura aims to create a safe and supportive space, and combined with her clinical expertise, this allows her to help clients and families navigate challenges and work towards a path of growth and healing.
Laura is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP), and has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bellevue University. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
