Esmeralda is an experienced caregiver with a dedication to strengthening families. She utilizes a unique nurture and nature approach with modalities such as trauma-focused CBT, family systems theory, and ecosystems theory while maintaining a person - family centered approach. Esmeralda believes it takes a village and she is interested in being a part of that network for your family.
The natural world around us is a tool Esmeralda always keeps in her tool box for managing stress, anxiety, depression, pregnancy and postpartum transition, as well as other relational issues that can come with life. In conjunction with CBT strategies and mindfulness, this provider has utilized gardening and plant-based activities to achieve symptom reduction or other therapeutic treatment goals. Esmeralda brings personal experience being the eldest of 7 children and mother to 2 daughters. She is the official care partner of her father who instilled in her an ardent passion for nature.
Esmeralda’s work with others began by providing support for her rural town's first after school program. For the past 10 years she has facilitated individual, family, and group support services for those interested in boosting parent child interaction, growing child development knowledge, and achieving family identified goals.
Esmeralda holds a Bachelor of Social work with a minor in Ethnic Studies from the University of Nebraska - Kearney. She obtained a Master’s in Social work and a Master’s in Public administration from the University of Nebraska - Omaha. She is an Independent Mental Health Practitioner and a Licensed Clinical Social worker.
