Esmeralda Acosta is an experienced caregiver with a dedication to strengthening families. She utilizes a unique nurture and nature approach with modalities such as trauma-focused CBT, family systems theory, and ecosystems theory while maintaining a person - family centered approach. Esmeralda believes it takes a village and she is interested in being a part of that network for your family.
For the past 16 years she has facilitated individual, family, and group support services focused on boosting parent child interaction and community connections, growing child development knowledge while achieving household identified goals.
Esmeralda believes in harnessing the natural world around us to nurture emotional well-being and promote positive family dynamics through indoor and outdoor interventions. Her unique blend of expertise combines therapeutic insight with practical strategies, empowering parents to create supportive environments where children can thrive.
Her experience with adults includes new parents, parent-child relationship difficulties, households fostering children, divorce, stress management, anxiety, and other life transitions. Esmeralda’s child and adolescent areas of expertise include managing anxious and depressive symptoms, divorce, grief, ADHD, stress, behavioral issues and regulation, increasing self confidence.
Esmeralda holds a dual Master’s in Social work and Public administration from the University of Nebraska - Omaha, initially obtaining her Bachelor of Social work with a minor in Ethnic Studies from the University of Nebraska - Kearney. She is an Independent Mental Health Practitioner and a Licensed Clinical Social worker.
