From a young age, Eric knew his calling was working with people. He views every client interaction as an opportunity to build and sustain positive, healthy relationships. He is passionate about helping individuals from all walks of life discover their inner strength and navigate a challenging world.
Eric firmly believes that every person possesses the skills and insight needed to create positive change within themselves. Through the therapeutic process, he explores all areas of a client’s life, aiming to leverage their strengths and utilize available support systems. He prioritizes open, honest communication with all stakeholders, working collaboratively to identify and solve problems.
Eric holds Bachelor’s degrees in both Criminal Justice and Sociology from the University of Sioux Falls, and earned his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Nebraska Omaha in 2014. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP). Eric has over 17 years of experience working with children and families as a school social worker, CPS investigator, residential treatment specialist, case manager, drug and alcohol educator, and therapist.
Eric brings a broad and empathetic perspective to his work. While his background is rooted in working with children, Eric has found that working with adults is both rewarding and invigorating, and he looks forward to expanding that area of his practice.
Areas of specialty include: child and family issues, anxiety, depression, anger management, divorce, school-related challenges, emotional regulation, peer concerns, and self-esteem.
