Stephanie Kozol
PLMHP, MT-BC
Stephanie believes that life is meant to be lived with joy. Yet, in the face of emotional pain, brains and bodies that “don’t work right,” or relationships meant to bring love that end up tearing us apart, joy can be drowned out. All of a sudden, it seems like a distant dream or a myth we forgot we’d heard.
Stephanie is a PLMHP, MT-BC, and a graduate of the Marriage and Family Therapy program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She concentrates her practice on helping individuals, couples, and families navigate Trauma, emotional dysregulation, relational conflict, developmental and phase-of-life (adjustment) challenges. She has experience working across the lifespan in foster care, day facilities, hospitals, and community-based settings.
These experiences have left her with the unwavering belief that each person has the ability to grow through pain and overcome the obstacles holding them back. No matter your age, ability, creed, class, color, gender, or sexuality, you have the right to live a fulfilling, authentic life. Stephanie strives to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can define and live out what this means for you.
Stephanie’s therapy process is always tailored to the needs and preferences of the client, yet firmly grounded in evidence-based practice. Stephanie uses Emotion-Focused Therapy, Attachment-Based Family Therapy, EMDR, Music Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients meet their goals.
If after reading this you’re excited - or even just a little less intimidated - about therapy, she hopes you reach out; she’d be honored to grow alongside you!
Insurance Accepted: BCBS, Midlands Choice, Cigna, Aetna, Medica, United Health Care, UMR, Optum, and Private Pay
