*Megan is the process of becoming a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) specializing in child and adolescent therapy, and is expected to start this summer.
Megan believes in the power of therapeutic relationships, understanding that healing occurs when clients feel heard, valued, and supported. Megan works collaboratively with clients to set personalized goals, helping them build the skills and resilience needed to navigate life’s challenges. Megan integrates a blend of creative expression techniques, child-centered play therapy, and solution-focused therapy to support healing and personal growth.
Megan’s clinical experience spans in both school and clinic settings, addressing a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, divorce, school difficulties, emotional regulation, peer relationships, and self-esteem. She enjoys working with clients from ages 3 to young adulthood, tailoring her approach to meet each individual’s unique needs.
Megan holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Human Services and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Eastern Illinois University, where she also played collegiate soccer. She is currently working toward her Registered Play Therapist Certification to further enhance her ability to support youth in their emotional and developmental journey.
Understanding that change in therapy is a gradual process, Megan’s goal is to guide clients and their families through their path to growth, providing a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment every step of the way.
Specialties: anxiety, depression, divorce, emotional regulation, peer relationships, and self esteem.
