Kelsey has a passion for working with youth to develop an understanding of self while learning skills and tools that will not only support their current life experiences, but will benefit them for years to come. She provides a space that is unconditionally accepting for her clients so they feel safe to be themselves and grow into the person they desire to be.
Kelsey has over a decade of experience working with youth including work as a special education teacher, school counselor, children’s yoga instructor, and a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP). Kelsey holds a Bachelor Degree in both Elementary Education and K-12 Special Education. She earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling from UNO with a focus in both school counseling and clinical mental health. Kelsey has also completed her Registered Yoga Teacher-200 hour training as well as her Children’s Yoga Teacher- 95 hour training. Kelsey begins her Play Therapy Certification training in June 2024.
Kelsey enjoys working with youth to help them build confidence, develop a positive self-image, understand their emotional experiences, and cope with life’s inevitable changes. She has a unique interest supporting children who are coping with anxiety and depression.
The foundation of Kelsey’s clinical practice revolves around safety, collaboration, exploration, and understanding. Kelsey has a desire for her clients to find peace in the present, while also developing a strong sense of hope for their future.
