Dr. Ashley Richardson, previous teacher, and current Doctor of Occupational Therapy, specializes in executive functioning skills for clients across the lifespan. She is passionate about supporting clients and families with ADHD, Autism, and learning differences. She feels that it is essential to learn practical and effective tools to build independence and confidence for daily use.
Ashley earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with a concentration in Childhood and Adolescence, from the University of Illinois in 2015.vShe then taught preschool for several years before returning to school, gaining a
doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Creighton University in 2021. Since, she has been working in pediatrics.
Her love for executive functioning blossomed from the opportunity to work alongside a pediatric psychologist in Atlanta, GA for several years prior to moving back to Omaha. There, Ashley provided executive functioning support to children, teens, adults, as well as support for parents and teachers. Ashley uses various evidence-based approaches during sessions including Cognitive -Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Approaches, Behavior Modification Programs, Structured Task Breakdown and Visual Aids, Social Skills and Problem-Solving Training, Accommodations and Supports, Study Strategies, and Self-Monitoring.
In her spare time, Ashley love practicing hot yoga, spending time outdoors, going to farmer’s markets, reading, and spending time with her husband and yorkie poo.
