*Ashley is the process of becoming a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) specializing in child and adolescent therapy, and is expected to start this summer.
Ashley Schnase specializes in working with adolescents and family relationships, using a compassionate and integrative approach rooted in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and psychodynamic principles. Ashley is passionate about supporting teens and families through challenges related to connection, communication, and emotional well-being.
Ashley earned her Bachelor’s degree in Family Sciences and Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2022 and is completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in May 2025. Her clinical training includes internships at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and a women’s safe center supporting survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.
Ashley is trained to provide both in-person and telehealth counseling sessions. She has experience working with students of various abilities and special needs, which has deepened her understanding of individualized care and inclusivity in the therapeutic space. Ashley takes a holistic approach to mental health, incorporating elements of wellness such as nutrition, movement, and mindfulness into her sessions. She aims to help clients build resilience, reduce distress, and foster healthier relationships within themselves and their families.
