Allie Van Houten

Allie Van Houten
PCMSW, PLMHP
Allie Van Houten is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner who specializes in fostering emotional well-being among children and adolescents. With a master’s degree in social work from the University of Nebraska in Omaha and a bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Morningside College, Allie combines academic expertise with hands-on experience to empower her young clients.

Throughout her career, Allie has been committed to creating a calm and welcoming environment where children feel safe to express their emotions and work through their unique lived experiences. Having served as a school social worker within the public school system, she has gained valuable insights into the challenges that children face daily. Allie's approach is rooted in compassion and engagement. She understands that emotional regulation is a crucial skill for children and adolescents, and she is determined to help them foster resilience in the face of adversity. By advocating for her clients, she empowers them to navigate their emotional landscapes with confidence and strength. Her energetic and supportive demeanor allows her to connect with children, making them feel comfortable and understood, thereby facilitating their journey toward emotional health.
