Clinical Intern
(she, her, hers)
Alexis is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Wayne State College with over a decade of experience supporting children and families. In addition to her clinical background, Alexis is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and educator, which informs her integrative, strengths-based approach to care. She incorporates play therapy principles, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and evidence-based skills to support emotional regulation, resilience, and self-connection.
During her internship, Alexis aims to continue developing her clinical skills while building authentic, collaborative relationships with clients and families. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where individuals feel seen, empowered, and encouraged to own their unique stories as the humans they are.
